Generalized Morbilliform Erythema Caused By Spider Bite: Case Report

aDermatoloji AD, Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, HATAY A 24-year old male presented to our outpatient clinic with a generalized rash over his body following a spider bite. On dermatologic examination, there was a dark red erythema with a central bluish vesiculobullous lesion on the left parasternal area. There was a generalized morbilliform erythema over the whole trunk and extremities. Vital signs of the patient were normal. Methylprednisolone and hydroxyzine was started. Morbilliform erythema was resolved in one week and ulceration was not occurred on the bite site. Here, we report the case of a morbilliform erythema without systemic involvement following most likely Loxosceles spider bite.Keywords: Insect bites and stings, erythemaTurkiye Klinikleri J Dermatol 2008, 18:52-54
