Psoriazis Vulgaris Tedavisinde Calcipotriol Merhem Ve Cignolin Merhem Tedavisinin Karşılaştırmalı Değerlendirilmesi

In our study, the efficacy, tolerability and safety of
calcipotriol ointment was compared with cignolin (anthralin)
ointment Fourtythree patients with psoriasis vulgaris
were treated with calcipotriol ointment (50 microgram/gr)
for 8 weeks. Twenty patients with psoriasis vulgaris were
treated with anthralin ointment 0.5-1-2% in the white petrolatum
for 8 weeks.
Assessment were made on the 2nd, 4th and 8th
weeks. The difference of the decrease in PAS! was not
statistically significant between the two treatment modalities.
The differences of efficacy was not statistically significant
according to the localization of psoriatic lesions
and the differences of decrease in the scores erythema,
induration and desquamation (scaling) from baseline between
the two treatments.
