Fiftyfour infants with diaper dermatitis who were admitted
to Pediatrics and Dermatology clinics were included
in this study. The relationship between the intensity
of dermatitis and nutrition, kind of clothing, number of
diaper changing, cleansing and using a protective preparation
was investigated. In all cases, native preperations
were performed to detect Candida. Bactériologie investigation
was made in severe cases. It is concluded that
breast feeding, frequent diaper change and the use of
protective preperations decrease the intensity of diaper
