Fifty patients (6 females, 44 males) with dermatophyte
onychomycosis, living in Erzurum were investigated in
terms of clinical and mycologyc features. The disease
was mostly seen between 31 and 50 ages and on toenails.
Its location was usually on distal part of nails.
The cause of dermatophyte onychomycosis was T.
rubrum in 27patients (%75) and T. mentagrophytes in 9
