Alopecia mucinosa is a rare disorder characterized
by the mucin accumulation in pilosebaceous follicles and
a dermal inflammatory Infiltration. It has clinical importance
especially by its possible association with lymphoproliferative
disorders besides the existance of its idiopathic
benign forms. We present a case with chronic, benign
alopecia mucinosa which shows some difference
from the described classical forms. The case had neither
any associated systemic disorder nor any malignancy for
