Verrucae induced by human papillomaviruses (HPV)
are benign epithelial proliferations of the skin and mucosa.
The existence of most treatment modalities reflects
the fact that none Is uniformly effective. Cryotherapy is a
common and effective treatment for many types of verrucae.
In thes study, efficacy of cryotherapy in different
types of verrucae is evaluated. 100 patients were treated
with cryotherapy and controlled at the end of the 6th
week. Cryotherapy showed a cure rate of 100% in verruca
filiformis and plana. 80% in genital warts, 72% in verruca
vulgaris, 57.8% in verruca piantaris, and total cure
