The association between Lichen planus (LP) and hepatic
disease was investigated in this study. The serum
levels of SGOT. SGPT and alkaline phosphatase were
determined from 20 LP and 20 control patients. All LP
patients and controls were tested for hepatitis B surface
antigen (HBsAg) and antihepatitis B antibodies (anti-
HBs). All LP patients were also examined for liver pathology
with ultrasound. Comparing the results of LP patients
and controls, there wasn't a significant difference
