Diabetes Mellitusda Deri Bulguları

In diabetes mellitus (DM) which is a frequently seen
endocrinological disease many types of skin disorders
are observed besides complications like neuropathy, nephropathy,
retinopathy and vasculopathy. In our study
the possibility of a connection between diabetics of type
II which was carried by 117 patients with age distribution
between 45-75 years and type I diabetics which was carried
by 39 patients with age distribution between 17-65
years was investigated. More fungal infections were
found in type I diabetic patients when compared with
what was found in type II diabetic patients, and this difference
was statistically significant (p 0.05). From the point
of view of other dermatological symptoms, no other significant
