Ultraviyole Tedavisinin Kaşıntılı Dermatozlardaki Etkinliği

The effect of ultraviolet radiation therapy on the intractabel
pruritus of 11 patients was investigated. Five
patients had atopic dermatitis, 2 had lichen simplex chronicus,
1 had generalized eczema and one had chronic
urticaria. Four cases with atopic dermatitis, 2 cases with
lichen simplex chronicus and one case with uremic pruritus
had relief of severe pruritus and showed clinical improvement
after an average of 8 treatments.
In the patients with chronic urticaria wheal formation
of the triple response regressed.
These results indicated that UV-treatment may be an
effective alternative treatment in recalcitrant pruritus.Keywords: Pruritus, UV-treatmentT Klin Dermatoloji 1992, 2:125-127
