Koebner Fenomeni
Dr. Buket PENÇE
Cüzem Savaş Dispanseri, ANKARA The Kobner phenomenon is the development of typical
lesions after injury to uninvolved skin of patients with
certain dermatologie diseases. It was first described in
1876. In the reverse Koebner response the lesion clears
following injury.
Although the Koebner phenomenon is seen most frequently
in psoriasis, it also occurs in a wide variety of
dermatoses. The incidence of the Koebner phenomenon
in psoriasis is 25%. Skin lesions appear 10-14 days following
various external or internal traumas. The observations
on the clinical presentation of the phenomenon are
controvertial. Studies designed to explain the pathogenesis
of psoriasis also revealed information on the pathogenesis
of Koebner phenomenon and many theories on the
subject have been proposed. Treatment is related to that
of the main disease. Keywords: Koebner phenomenon, (Isomorphic response)T Klin Dermatoloji 1992, 2:141-147
